Personal Experience & Biography
A keen curiosity for nature and a passion to engage in empowering the health of others have been key forces driving Baljit Khamba, ND (California), MPH, EdD(cand)’s career. Research, teaching, and evidence-informed health care have been the way those interests have been expressed.
Baljit Khamba is an Assistant Professor at Bastyr University. She graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2009. She also completed her undergraduate degree in cognitive psychology at York University and Master in Public Health with a focus on nutrition and mental health from Lakehead University. Further, she is currently completing her Doctorate of Education at the University of Western Ontario with a focus on Leadership.
Specialized Work
Baljit has extensive research experience with a focus on natural health product safety, as well as nutrition and mental health. She most recently completed a rapid review on honeybee products and treatment of respiratory illness symptoms, like those of COVID-19.
At Bastyr University, Baljit Khamba is the Chair of Clinical Sciences and is actively involved with teaching students in the Naturopathic Medicine program as well as the Master in Counselling Psychology Program.
